About the Associational Missionary and Staff
Terry W. Dorsett grew up in the mid west and migrated to the south where he attended Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his family moved to Vermont in 1993 to serve one of the small rural congregations in the state. After a productive time of ministry in that church, he accepted the call to become the associational missionary.

Dewey and Kathie Aiken obeyed God's call as MSC missionaries to Vermont in January 2003. Years of missions involvement and management careers in North Carolina prepared them to serve as associational retreat center managers in Vermont. They also assist Washington Baptist Church as church strengtheners, lead GMBA in disaster relief and coordinate partnership efforts with North Carolina.

About the Association
The Association was formed in October 1982 to help Baptist churches facilitate the evangelization of Vermont. Merwyn Borders, a church planter and the first director of the association, started many churches in the association. Those new church starts were joined by several existing Baptist churches that were looking for a new way to do missions and evangelism. Together, the new and the old combine to help each other reach a state that is both rich in tradition and progressive in its approach to life.
