Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to an exciting evening of food, games, fun, music and testimonies from teens about what God is doing in their lives. Our guest speaker will be Karl Swanke, former NFL football player for the Green Bay Packers. Cost is $2 per person for pizza. If you are coming in a group, please call the church office, 476-8288, by Thursday, August 26 with a count of how many are coming from your church so that we can have adequate pizza and sodas on hand.

Systematic Theology 1 - Revelation and Scripture – August 13-Sept. 11
Systematic Theology 2 - Creation and Providence – Sept. 24-Oct. 16
Systematic Theology 3 - The person and work of the Holy Spirit – Oct. 29-Nov. 20
Each class lasts a total of
four weekends and is held on Friday evenings and Saturday days allowing
students to continue to work, worship, and minister in their home settings.
Friday classes last from 7 PM until 9:30 PM. On Saturdays the class continues
from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM with a scheduled lunch break. There is a
weekend intermission between each subsequent course. Courses are offered via compressed interactive video and are taught by
professors from Southern Seminary. Southern Seminary is the largest
evangelical seminary in the world with its main campus being in Louisville,
Kentucky. The interactive video courses originate in Louisville but students
may be attending from Washington, Boston, Chicago, New York, or
elsewhere. The classroom is at Christ Memorial Church in Williston, VT.
This location is easily reachable from Vermont, northern New York and New
Hampshire, as well as southern Quebec. The classes at the

Transformational Church Webcast with Ed Stetzer

Come join other GMBA leaders at the GMBA office (30 Jones Brothers Way, Barre VT) to watch the web cast on the big screen. The subject is how to help small churches be transformational. Bring your lap top so you can interact with the webcast as it is happening. The group will also interact with each other in live time. This is the first time we have tried a training session where we interact both personally and on the web at the same time. The GMBA will provide lunch for all participants. Do you want to resolve and avoid conflicts with your family, co-workers, or friends? Do you want to know God’s will for decisions you face? Are you wrestling with sin and bad habits that seem impossible to break? Dr. Bill Gothard addresses these questions and more in this highly concentrated seminar on practical Christianity. The 25 hours of instruction focuses on seven universal, non-optional principles of life. It illustrates exactly how the conflicts we face in our lives can be traced back to violations of these principles; then it gives practical steps on how to resolve the conflicts.
The Basic Seminar is designed for those 15 years of age and older. Children, ages 12-14, may register and attend with a parent.

Pastors and missionaries are encouraged to have a short word of encouragement to share with Tony during the service. A time of fellowship will follow. Moscow is not hard to find, just take exit ten off I-89. Head toward Stowe. You will see the sign that says Moscow. Turn left and you'll find the church two miles down the road. The town is too small to get lost in!

NETS Leadership Conference

October 17th and 18th, 2010
This year's speaker is Rev. Wes Pastor, senior minister of Christ Memorial Church and president of The NETS Institute for Church Planting. Rev. Pastor recently completed his M.Th. from the University of Wales on the Pastoral Epistles and will be speaking on the topic, “What’s a Church Leader to do?” he conference will begin with a Sunday evening worship service on October 17th and continue all day Monday, October 18th with three main sessions. Each session will be followed by a smaller breakout discussion providing time to more deeply interact with Paul’s instructions to church leaders.
Our goal is for you to walk away refreshed in your faith, more resolved in your mission, and encouraged to persevere in your ministry. The conference is open to all and will be particularly helpful to your existing church leaders (pastors, elders, deacons, small group leaders, etc.) or those in your church who aspire to lead well. Both men and women are warmly invited.

Every church is asked to send representatives to our annual meeting. We will hear exciting reports of what God is doing across our association. We will adopt the new budget and elect officers for the coming year. We will fellowship together over a meal prepared by the host church. We will enjoy an African American choir from North Carolina who will hold a Gospel music concert for us. We will enjoy a powerful sermon from Dr. Ken Weathersby, Vice President for Church Planting at the North American Mission Board, SBC. Terry Dorsett will be distributing a limited number of free copies of his book, Developing Leadership Teams in the Bivocational Church, to pastors and lay leaders.

We do not yet have a host church for this event. If you are interested in your church hosting this event, please contact the GMBA office. The host church must be able to hold at least 150 people and provide light refreshments for the group afterwards. Various choirs and soloists from around the state take part on the program and the host church needs to provide a sound system and operator who can handle a variety of cds/dvds instruments and multiple microphones.
