Evangelism Training Faith Community Church 30 Jones Brothers Way Barre, VT January 15, 2012 5-7 PM The GMBA is hosting THREE different evangelism training seminars in January. The training will be the SAME at all three venues, so pick the location and date that works best for you. It will be helpful to us if you let us know which one you are coming to because the BCNE has agreed to provide a light supper at each location.
The title of the training session is: Because Lost People Matter To God They Matter To Us!
The speaker will be Bruce James, Evangelism Consultant for the Baptist Convention of New England.
Bruce says: "In the spring of 2012 more than 300 BCNE churches and church plants are encouraged to participate in the second national GPS emphasis, Reaching Across North America. The BCNE will use the name Reaching Across New England (RANE) and will be resourcing and assisting churches across New England to disciple their members and reach their communities."
At this training session we will be discussing how to: • Create a Culture of Evangelism or Outreach in your Church • Friendly-Up the Church • Utilize events to “Make Disciples” while reaching your Community • Benefit from the 21 million internet impressions that may connect seekers to your church in 2012 (30% will be in Spanish) • Receive $250 in seed money for your 2012 evangelistic events • Utilize the Evangelism Response Center to provide 24x7 spiritual counseling for your church • Get free mailing labels and prayer walking lists of every person in your area • Use “Outreach.com” resources available for your event • Implement simple Evangelism Training for your church A light supper is provided at each location, please register for dinner at the location of your choice by emailing: dskillo@sbcglobal.net.

January Bible Study Lyndon Center Baptist Church Lyndon Center, VT January 20-22, 2012 6:00 PM on Friday and Saturday 10:15 AM and 6:00 PM on Sunday Dr. Mark Ballard, president of New England Baptist College in Bennington,VT, will lead the January Bible Study. Dr. Ballard will be teaching Lifeway’s study on Ecclesiastes during the conference. He has been pastor in Londonderry NH, served as interim associational missionary in New Hampshire, and been president of the Baptist Convention of New England. Breakfast with Dr. Ballard Lyndon Center Baptist Church Lyndon Center, VT 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 Dr. Mark Ballard will speak about the vision and direction of New England Baptist College. All pastors, church leaders, and parents of high school students are urged to attend. Some housing can be arranged for people from out of town who would like to attend the Friday night session of the January Bible Study and Saturday morning’s breakfast.
"Courageous" Movie Night Faith Community Church 30 Jones Brothers Way Barre, Vermont Saturday, January 28, 2012 6:30 PM - live music by the FCC Praise Team 7:00 PM - movie starts Come enjoy a great movie about how firefighters have to be courageous, and perhaps in ways we would not expect. There is NO CHARGE to attend the movie. There will be a basket available for those who would like to contribute to the church's trip to Haiti to minister to orphans. Refreshments will also be on sale to benefit the Haiti project.
Partnership Seminar Lyndon Center Baptist Church Lyndon Center, VT January 29, 2012 5 to 8:30 PM Terry Dorsett will lead this seminar. It will teach pastors, deacons, elders, and leaders of faith based organizations such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, etc, how to build partnerships in order to help their church or organization be more effective. Significant time is spend on how to do effective fundraising, but the seminar also covers how to build partnerships in general through volunteers and prayer efforts. GMBA Semi-Annual Meeting April 28, 2012 9:30 AM to 2 PM Whiting Community Church Whiting, VT Hear exciting reports of what God is doing around the association. Hear a Spirit filled sermon from Kevin Pounds, who is starting a new church in Burlington while serving the refugee community. Breakout sessions will be led by Melva Davidson on how to lead VBS and teach Sunday School. Our special guest will be Keith Doster, missionary to the deaf in Mexico. Brother Doster will both report on his ministry and also share tips for how GMBA churches can reach out to the deaf community.
