Special Financial Needs
Below are listed some special needs of the association. If the
Lord leads you to support one of these special needs, just send your
gift to the GMBA office and write the name of the need on the memo
line.
What if you can't give a large amount to cover an entire need?
Most of our donors can't underwrite an entire project so it takes lots of little gifts to meet most needs. Often a larger donor will call and ask which project is close to being funded and will make up the difference. But if no money has come in at all for a particular project, large donors often don't give either. This means your small gift may well result in a much larger gift from someone else.
Donate ONLINE by clicking here! Note: When you donate online we have to pay 3% of your gift to the company that processes your donation. We prefer to have donations come via check to avoid paying that fee. However we offer online giving for those donors who no longer use checks.
Current Financial Needs:
1. $250 a month to supplement to regular budget of the association. This is the fund that supports the ongoing efforts of the association and due to the current economic climate in our nation, we are running a deficit.
2. $200 in McDonald's Gift Certificates for our homeless ministry.
3. $1000 a month to help start a new church in the greater Burlington area. Kevin Pounds will be the lead pastor and Point Church in New Jersey will be the primary sponsor of the new work. These funds will be used for outreach, office support and salary assistance.
4. $3000 for salary assistance for Jerry Frey, pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship in Pownal, VT.
5. $35,000 to renovate a wharehouse in St. Johnsbury, VT for conversion into a thrift store to help support the Mustard Seed Soup Kitchen.
6. $500 a month to provide a meeting place for a new mission in Waterbury, VT.
7. $35,000 for repaving the parking lot at Reformed Bible Church, North Clarenden, VT.
8. $11,500 for salary assistance for Jim Marchetti, pastor of Barre Baptist Fellowship, Barre, VT.
9. $75,000 to build parsonages for small churches struggling to pay pastors.
10. New Life Community Church would like to purchase a used van to transport cadets to and from the campus of Norwich University to the church. $15,000-$20,000.
11. Gifts of any amount to help support our ongoing efforts to increase our Church Development Fund. This endowment fund is a great way to honor a loved one who has passed away by giving a gift in their memory. The interest from that gift will continue to assist mission work in Vermont until Jesus comes again.
