Special Financial Needs

Below are listed some special needs of the association. If the Lord leads you to support one of these special needs, just send your gift to the GMBA office and write the name of the need on the memo line.

What if you can't give a large amount to cover an entire need?

Most of our donors can't underwrite an entire project so it takes lots of little gifts to meet most needs. Often a larger donor will call and ask which project is close to being funded and will make up the difference. But if no money has come in at all for a particular project, large donors often don't give either. This means your small gift may well result in a much larger gift from someone else.

Note: When you donate online we have to pay 3% of your gift to the company that processes your donation. We prefer to have donations come via check to avoid paying that fee. However we offer online giving for those donors who no longer use checks.

Current Financial Needs:

1. $250 a month to supplement to regular budget of the association. This is the fund that supports the ongoing efforts of the association and due to the current economic climate in our nation, we are running a deficit.

2. $200 in McDonald's Gift Certificates for our homeless ministry.

3. $1,500 to purchase and distribute evangelism books for children across Vermont.

4. $500 a month to help start a new church in the greater Burlington area. Kevin Pounds will be the lead pastor and Point Church in New Jersey will be the primary sponsor of the new work. These funds will be used for outreach, office support and salary assistance.

5. $500 a month to provide a meeting place for a new mission in Waterbury, VT.

6. These items, or funds to purchase them, are needed to help start Monument Hill Country Church in Hubbardton, VT:

Stock tank to use as a baptismal pool ($250)

Rustic Cross made out of old barn beams

              Rodeo rope

              Used horse saddle

              Hitching rail

              PA system  ($1,000)

              Case of Cowboy Bibles ($125)

              Packages of Cowboy tracks ($50)

              Pair of used spurs

Baskets of children's toys for the nursery

              New church sign ($300)

              Computer and printer ($1,000)

7. $75,000 to build parsonages for small churches struggling to pay pastors.

8. Gifts of any amount to help support our ongoing efforts to increase our Church Development Fund. This endowment fund is a great way to honor a loved one who has passed away by giving a gift in their memory. The interest from that gift will continue to assist mission work until Jesus comes again. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for this fund by 2013. We are currently at just under $55,000.
