2008 GMBA Annual Meeting

Nearly 75 people gathered at the Baptist Fellowship of Randolph VT for the 26th annual meeting of the Green Mountain Baptist Association. Bob Butler, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, led the congregational worship in the first session. The Praise Team from the host church led the afternoon worship. Wes Pastor, senior pastor of Christ Memorial Church in Williston, preached the annual sermon. A balanced budget was passsed, which was 5% less than the previous year's budget. Reports were heard from various ministry leaders and partners. The association rejoiced to have the third largest number of baptisms in their history. The association also rejoiced that churches in the association had sent over 300 mission volunteers out from their churches to be involved in missions around the world. John Pellegrini, deacon at Faith Community Church in Barre, was elected moderator. Carl Parton, a laymen from Macedonia Church in Plainfield, was elected Vice Moderator. Bob Henley, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Middlebury, was re-elected clerk and John Tracy, pastor of the Barre Baptist Fellowship, was re-elected as treasurer.
