North Carolina Team Helps Vermont Church

On a sunny Saturday in July a group of more than 25 teenagers from Faith Community Church of Barre had a float in the Barre Homecoming Parade. Part of the group sang contemporary Christian music on the float with a full band. The rest of the group walked beside the float passing out candy and invitations to church as well as Christian t-shirts the church had made up for their annual Vacation Bible School. Many people clapped and cheered as the float went by with the inspiring music and enthusiastic youth volunteers. The following day the same teens led the worship service at the church and 185 people attended. Some of the visitors said they came as a direct result of hearing the band play on the float the day before. The Barre church has specialized in reaching unchurched teenagers and has over 100 teens enrolled in their program.
