Most Recent News Church Holds Baptism at State Park Faith Community Church of Barre baptized 9 new believers during their annual church picnic in July. The picnic was held at the Boulder Beach State Park in Groton, Vt. Six teenagers were baptized along with three adults. Over 150 people came to witness the baptisms. Thirty minutes before the baptisms were held, rain was pouring down in a torrential storm. The crowd was hudled under a pavillion listening to the lightening. Several people prayed and asked God to stop the rain, and in less than 30 seconds the rain cleared and the sun came out. The baptism happened right on schedule and God was glorified.
