Doug Whitley Preaches Across Vermont

For a week in October 2009 Rev. Doug Whitley from South Carolina preached the Gospel across Vermont. Rev. Whitley has a unique way of presenting in the Gospel in that he dresses up as famous historical preachers and either preaches one of their sermons or tells the story of their life in first person. He spoke in churches across Vermont and also delivered the annual sermon at the Green Mountain Baptist Association annual meeting. Rev. Whitley does more than 20 different historical preachers. While in Vermont, he portrayed at least three different characters. "I learned a lot and found it very interested," said Kay Dorsett, wife of the GMBA Director of Missions.
