Fall Festivals Held Around Vermont
Many people see Halloween as the Devil's Day. But Vermont Baptists decided not to allow Satan to have a day that should be dedicated to the glory of God. A number of churches around the state held Fall Festivals to give families an alternative place to spend October 31. Some festivals were held in local schools, some were held in churches, some were held in the homes of church members and in parking lots, but all of them were focused on helping children and their families honor God on a day that is seldom given to God. At Faith Community Church in Barre 175 people attended the celebration. Though it was raining outside, dozens still went through a 52 foot inflatable obstacle course in the parking lot while even more enjoyed pizza, hotdogs, soda, and games inside the building. Brian Conyers, a church planting intern serving the Barre church, presented the Gospel to the children through juggling. A number of families have attended the church as a result.
