GMBA May 2010 Meeting

Precision Valley Baptist Church in North Springfield, Vermont, hosted the May 2010 semi-annual meeting for the Green Mountain Baptist Association. Over 50 representatives and guests came from more than a dozen churches. The group enjoyed inspiring worship led by Dave and Andie Bentley as well as a powerful sermon from Brother Bentley. The group heard reports from various missionaries and ministry leaders. The group stopped to pray several times for issues that came up in discussion, such as pastors who had lost their secular jobs, key lay leaders who had been deployed to Afghanistan and churches that were going through difficult times. One of the highlights of the meeting was that the association voted into watch care the North Pownal Congregational Church. Pastor Gary Rogers, who has served the congregation for 12 years and was ordained by Ed Young of Second Baptist Church, Houston, Texas.
