Lyndon Center Baptist Church Installs New Pastor

Lyndon Center Baptist Church was pleased to install their new pastor on August 9, 2009. Pastors from around the Northeast Kingdom joined with the local church and representatives from the Green Mountain Baptist Association to lay hands on the new pastor and ask God to bless his new ministry. David Calwell, former pastor of the church, took part in the ceremony, as did John Snow, who had been serving as interim pastor for the last two years. Rev. Strickland has previously been a pastor in American Somao and in Sunapee, New Hampshire. He was involved in education for much of his career and plans to focus on reaching the 2000 students who attend the two schools that are located near the church.
