News and Praise Report : It has been a few months since we last celebrated with you what God is doing in our part of Vermont. Let us begin by praising the Lord for the two people who placed their faith in Christ as a result of our Easter services at the beginning of April. We also rejoice that 45 people attended our services and heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ! A few weeks prior to Easter Sunday, we were blessed to have a team from Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Birmingham, AL, join us in prayerwalking our town. They also hosted a Southern BBQ cookout at our Boys and Girls Club, and many of the teens families have now started connecting with our church. Our youth group also helped distribute 300 invitations, door-to-door, for our Easter service. God is doing an incredible work in the lives of our families, and we would ask that you would continue to pray that the teens and parents in Northfield, Vermont, would become passionate followers of Christ. We also recently began a small group ministry on Sunday mornings and at different times during the week. These bible study groups have helped everyone in our church get to know each other better and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. We now have small groups for teens, college students, women, and all ages on Sunday mornings. Please pray that God would use these small group bible studies to produce more disciples that can reach more disciples for Christ. We have had an excellent year reaching out to students at Norwich University. We have consistently seen them attend our Sunday services and participate in a college Bible study on campus. Trey recently had the honor of performing a wedding for two of the students at White Chapel on Norwich Campus. Please pray for our college students as they prepare to take their finals and for them to stay strong in their faith during the summer as many are training with their respective branches of the military.
Our family has made a prayerful decision recently to homeschool our children next school year. With this choice came the decision for Robyn to return home from teaching kindergarten in order to focus on Rachel and Joshua’s educational needs. We know this is the best decision we can make as we seek to raise our children to be their best for the Lord. Of course, this includes a leap of faith for our financial situation, as Robyn’s job provided a great deal of our monthly income and our health insurance. Please be in prayer with us as we seek God’s will over the following:
- For Trey to find a full-time job with benefits, or a combination of part-time jobs that would make up the financial difference (about $2000 a month plus benefits). This could possibly include Trey’s small computer business, so pray for God’s will to be done and for an increase in customers.
- To raise new financial partnerships with sister churches that would make up what we are losing from Robyn’s job and a $1000/month decrease from NAMB that starts in November.
There is information below on how you can make a tax-exempt donation for our living expenses or health insurance. We are planning for a great summer of reaching people for Christ. Please be in prayer for the following outreaches and mission teams as we prepare to share Christ through the ministries listed:
- July 11-16 - Siloam Baptist, Ninety Six, SC – Youth WeekJuly 19-23 – Faith Baptist, Youngsville, NC – Upward Soccer Camp/Construction and Macedonia BC, Lincolnton, NC - Construction
July 26-30 - Hephzibah Baptist, Princeton, NC – Construction/Adventure week
- August 2-6 – Vacation Bible School
