Montgomery Center Church Celebrates Christmas

The Christmas season is always a special time in the small villages that dot the Vermont countryside. But this year was particularly special for the village of Montgomery Center. Located near the Canadian border, the village joined Community Baptist Church as they celebrated Christ's birth on Christmas Eve. Members of the community met with church members and celebrated "An Old Fashioned Christmas" by Christmas Caroling down Main Street by candle light. As the group made their way down the street, word spread about the Christmas Eve service. The group ended their stroll at the church for a candle light service. Pastor Larry Weeks reports "We had over 35 join us for caroling party and 47 join us for our Christmas Eve service at the church." The church also had a midnight service with candlelight and bells. Pastor Weeks said, "In a day where it has become the norm to take Christ out of Christmas, we were blessed by seeing people come together in the realization that Jesus came for all of us so we could know Him."
