Precision Valley Baptist Church Continues Construction

Ed Helms has spent the past five years in Vermont leading construction projects. Last year he completed four years of work on the total renovation of the Capstone Baptist Church in North Bennington. This summer he is overseeing construction of the new sanctuary at Precision Valley Baptist Church in North Springfield. A large number of volunteer work teams have traveled from North Carolina, Helms native state, as well as from other parts of the country, to work on the building. Men from the local church have also put in a number of long days, included a group of teenage boys who worked almost daily during the summer. The economic crisis that has swept the country has made fund raising a challenge for the church but Pastor Dave Bentley says "it has been exciting to watch God provide each week for the projects we were working on for that week." The exterior of the building is nearing completion. Sheetrock will soon be going up on the inside.
