Entire Family Baptized

alex wright baptism.bmp

When the Smith family (not their real name) started coming to church they had been through some real struggles as a family. Though they had a vague sense of who God was, they had not yet been born again. Over a period of time the family drew closer and closer to the Lord. Eventually each one came to know Christ in a personal way. When Faith Community Church of Barre VT had their annual church picnic, they baptized the entire Smith family, along with several others. Pictured here is the John Smith, the teenage son. When asked why he wanted to be baptized he replied "God tells us to be baptized after we became Christians, and I became a Christian, so here I am doing what God wants me to do." Trey Cates, associate pastor at the church and a Nehemiah Church Planter with the North American Mission Board baptized John and his family.
