GMBA Takes First International Mission Trip
The first week of September eight people from two GMBA churches and from the North Carolina partnership took part in the first international mission trip from the GMBA. The group traveled to an affluent area of Canada where they worked alongside the leaders of Mosaic Church in reaching out to their community. They did a variety of servant evangelism activities, but before any of those activities, the soil was soaked with prayer.
The group was able to interact with a large number of non-Christians. One of those persons was Rubina- a young Moslem mother of four. Her husband died five months ago shortly after their move from Pakistan to Canada. Now she is in a strange land, raising four children with very few friends and family. She expressed grief but welcomed conversation, prayer in the name of Jesus as well as a long hug from one of the team members. Pray for her salvation as well as the salvation of her children.

We were honored to be part of the team. Southern Baptist from Vermont, South Carolina and North Carolina were represented. Dewey & Kathie did a wonderful job of planning this trip which 'stretched' each of us to get out of our comfort zone and let God use us in new way to share the gospel. Mosaic Church needs our prayers and our 'Going' to reach their huge multi-cultural community.
