GMBA 25th Annual Meeting

Twenty three churches and numerous ministry partners sent representatives to the GMBA Annual meeting. This was the 25th anniversary of the association. They heard testimonies from John and Joanne Tracy and David Russell, all of whom were present when the association was formed and now serve in leadership roles in the association. Becky Pellegrini also gave a testimony about how she heard the Gospel as a teenager because of Southern Baptist missionaries who came to Vermont. She and her family have now helped plant two Southern Baptist churches in Vermont. The association adopted a 25th anniversary challenge, which focused on leading outreach Bible studies in towns without churches, increased giving to the Church Development Fund and using partnership ministry teams in more strategic ways. Terry Dorsett gave the annual sermon, which included a graphic illustration of how all the churches were linked together using 35 volunteers holding signs for each church. The volunteers were connected with ropes to show how each church was started or influenced by the other churches in the association. The choir from Tabernacle Baptist Church of Carrolton GE provided a concert and music during the day long meeting.
