Springfield Church Makes Room for Growth

Precision Valley Baptist Church in Springfield has started a second morning service to expand the ministry of the church. While running just one service the church was at maximum capacity, so the decision was made by the pastor, Dave Bentley, and the church, to begin the earlier service.
The services differ only slightly based on the people involved in leading the service, the message is the same in both services. The effect on the church has been positive. First, it has enabled more people to be involved in the ministry of worship because there different people playing and singing in each service. In addition there is now room to grow in both services.
Pastor Dave admits that it’s been a challenge physically. Preaching two messages every Sunday morning requires a lot of energy. It’s also been a challenge with the weather we have encountered this winter.
For people who attend the early service and Sunday school, which happens between the two services, they are done at 10:30. This is a benefit to a number of people who may have to work on Sunday.
Eventually the church plans to build a multipurpose facility that will be a benefit to the church and the community.
