Though Newbury Bible Church has been prayer walking off and on for several years, the congregation recently decided to make prayer walking a regular event. They now have people who go prayer walking each Thursday and others who go on Sunday evenings. Much of the renewed emphasis on prayer walking came as a result of a number of people reading the book "Follow Me" by Dr. Randy Sprinkle. After a number of individuals read the book, then an urgency for prayer walking began to spead through the congregation. Urged on by the support of the elders and the VBS director, the congregation now does prayer walks and prayer drives through the Newbury area and the surrounding villages on a regular basis. Pastor Lee reports "We can actually see and sense change going on in our community as a result of prayer."
